Use the Lifecycles functionality to define one or more lifecycles and apply them to the types, of entities in your environment.
A lifecycle can be described as the various stages in the life of an entity.
The lifecycle defines a set of states and permitted transitions that occur between them. Lifecycle statuses are customizable.
Lifecycle terminology
These terms are used with the Entity Lifecycles functionality.
Lifecycle: The various stages in the life of an entity. The lifecycle defines a set of statuses and the permitted transitions between them.
Default lifecycle: The lifecycles are predefined and that is applied to an entity type that has not had a custom lifecycle applied to it.
Stage: One of several stages or phases in the lifecycle of an entity.
Default Stage: The stage within a lifecycle to which a new CI or Contract is assigned.
