When you create a Report Template you select data the data set to be displayed in the report by creating filters.
Date filter: Select from the list containing properties of type Date from the chosen data type, e g Created Date, Updated Date, Closed Date, etc.
For time interval you can select a floating interval, like Current month, This year, Previous week, etc. The available selections for floating interval are described in detail in a list below. Use floating time interval if the Report Template will be used for scheduled dispatch.
You can also set up a fixed date interval for the report by using the fields From and To. This alternative is suitable mainly for once dispatch reports.
Advanced filtering: This is filters using condition on the data objects. Form multi condition you have to decide if the conditions should be valid separately (select Any in the first dropdown, an “Or” condition) or all conditions must be fulfilled (select All in the dropdown, an “And” condition).
By use of Sub Conditions you can set up an advanced selection. Example: You want to list all active tickets assigned to specific Agent. The main condition filters tickets assigned to the Agent and the sub conditions selects tickets not having status Completed, Closed or Pending (2 in the figure below) with Any condition (3 in the figure below). Note that the main condition is set up as an All condition (1 in the figure below) although it is a single condition. The reason for this is that the Date filter is defined as a condition as well, if you want both to be fulfilled you must set All on the condition. If you set the main conditions as Any, both object met the Date filter and objects met the main condition will be included.
