Notification Mappings
The Notification Mappings page contains the matrix of events versus different types of users. The form contains tabs for different Task and Ticket entity types like Request, Incident, Problem, Change and Task. Each tab contains matrix for the respective events versus users. For example, you can see the matrix for the Request. You need to enable notifications as per your requirement. For instance, we have request Registered event. This notification should be sent to all the users so that they all get notified about the new request. To achieve this, you need to select all the check boxes for the registered event. After updating the matrix, click Save button to complete the process.
Along with the other entity tabs, General tab is displayed where you can define recipients for General notifications based on following events: New User Created and Password Reset.
NSP provides following events associated with any entity.
• Change of Assignee
• Entity Change
• Agent Comment
• User Comment
• Entity Created
• Entity Deleted
One additional event called Date Overdue is also displayed for the Task entity to send a notification when task is overdue. Also, Entity Created and Entity Deleted events are not available here.
Statuses like Registered, In Progress, etc. associated with the entity are also displayed as events along with above events for the respective entity.
