Task Templates

A Task Template is a sequence of tasks defined to describe the stages and the inter-relation of a piece of work. The work could be divided into several tasks due to complexity, because it is an often repeated sequence or because the work should be performed by different persons or groups. Another reason could be the need to keep track of the time spent on the work or to have control of the order the tasks are performed. You define the order of the tasks by specifying dependency, and the estimated time to complete each task in the sequence.

To access Task Templates page, go to Configurations > Manage > Task Templates.

Task Templates

The page displays a list of created Task Templates. Each item in the list contains Name, Number of Tasks included in the Task Template and Action buttons Edit and Delete.

Functions to search, filter and sort the list is similar to other lists, see section General User Interface.

Select Edit or click the Add new record button both opens the form Add/Edit Task Template. If you have selected Edit the form has data for the selected Task Template already filled in.
