The system lets you take Inventory by means of barcode scanning is the process performed to check compliance between what is stated in CMDB and the state of the CI in reality. Inventory Scannings can be applied only to the Asset CI type and its subtypes.
Assets are checked through the process of scanning the code on the inventory label placed on the asset.
Inventory Scannings are done through a series of Scanning sessions.
