Configurations > CMDB Management > Printer Types.
The table shows all Printer Types existing in database.
Just above the table is button Add Printer Type and by clicking that you can create new printer type. The opened form offers possibility of defining monitor Name (required field) and Description.
This table will also be used for editing or deleting existing Printer Types.
Printer name is unique, so you cannot add more printer types with the same name.
The list of defaults Printer Types is as following:
•Impact - Impact printers produce a printed page by striking an inked ribbon with a dot-matrix mechanism.
•Thermal - Thermal printers, used in cash registers and adding machines, take rolls of treated paper that turn dark when heated.
•3D printer - 3D printingis process used to synthesize a three-dimensional object in which successive layers of material are formed under computer control to create the object.
•Laser - A laser printer is a printer for computers. It uses LED-technology to get small particles of toner from a cartridge onto paper.
•Inkjet - An Inkjet printer is a printer for computers. It uses special ink to print on the paper
Note: Default Printer Types cannot be edited or deleted.
