Billboard Terms & Concept

Billboard is a part of the NSP Self Service Portal where Announcements are published.

Announcement is a written document designed to provide information to the customers (End Users) on the system Billboard. Announcements are commonly used to announce certain events to the End Users.

Announcement Author is the Agent with the authority to make Announcements.

Announcement Categories is a flat structure designed to organize Announcements in different categories for easier find and usage. Announcement Categories are customizable. Categories can be added, edited and deleted.

Announcement is always valid for a certain time period. Hence, two dates are always required for each announcement:

Valid From: Date when the Announcement will be visible on billboard.

Valid To: Date when the Announcement is no longer up-to-date and publication on billboard stops.

Based on these dates Announcement can take following implicit status:

Pending: Current date is before the Valid From date.

Published: Current date is between Valid From and Valid To dates.

Archived: Current date is after the Valid To date.

Management of the announcements published on Billboard in SSP will be done in the Agent Portal. Management will cover two areas:

Billboard Categories: Customization and management of categories,

Billboard Announcements: Creation and management of announcements.
