A disposed unit means that a computer no longer is considered active and it therefore does not take up a license. Disposed units are not visible in the main unit list, and so is not part of collection of inventory and other handling.
A unit that is currently connected is considered active and cannot be set as disposed.
Automatic dispose
In system settings ” it is possible to define that computers should after a certain period of time offline, be automatically set to disposed. A unit which has been automatically disposed and later connects to Inventory Service will also be automatically restored to the main list. If there are not enough licenses, the agent will close itself down.
Manual dispose
To manually set a unit to disposed, check it in the list and select the menu Network Units > Dispose Unit(s). The unit has to be offline.
