Permission Levels

Define User Level scope () to enable action only for entities assigned to the user. For example, if you have defined user scope for view for the request entity then each user mapped with the role can view requests assigned to oneself only.

Group Level scope () enables action entities assigned to selected group members. For example, if you have defined a group scope and selected “Service Desk” group for view for the request entity then a user mapped to the role can view requests assigned to members of the group “Service Desk”.

When you select a Group Level and right click the symbol, a popup opens enabling you to select group(s) from the available, active groups in the system. If single group or multiple groups but not all are selected, then image icon will be surrounded by orange border (). If all groups are selected then image icon will be surrounded by green border.

Organization Level scope () enables action to entities assigned to the members of the user’s organization. For example, if you have defined organization scope for view for the request entity then a user mapped to the role can view requests assigned to the members of his organization.

Similar to Group Level, if Organization Level is selected and you right click the symbol, a popup is opened where you can select organization(s) from available, active organizations in the system. If single organization or multiple organizations but not all are selected, then image icon will be surrounded by orange border. If all organizations are selected then image icon will be surrounded by green border.

System Wide scope () enables action to entities created in the entire system.
