If you are planning on using Skype (free version), the client only works up until Skype version 7.40. Newer versions are built not to allow integration. Do not forget to uncheck the possibility for Skype to update automatically; Skype> Tools(M)> Options(M)> Advanced(M)> Automatic updates(M)> Deactivate automatic updates(B).
