Personal data on closed tickets and orders can be encrypted. When you after encryption open such a ticket or order (both as Agent or End User) the fields containing personal data are empty. Note that account information cannot be encrypted.
As GDPR handler you must be aware of that the encryption option is not shown on GDPR > Account-Level Actions > Choose user until the End User themselves has generated an encryption key on SSP.
As End User you effectuate the encryption like this:
1. Produce an encryption key (it is an XML-configured text string). Note that you have to save this key if you in the future want to decrypt data. Let the system randomly create a key in User button > View profile > Encryption key > Generate.
2. Click User button > Personal data protection > General > Encrypt personal data Tickets & Orders > Request encryption. Note that this option is not available if the encryption key has not been created.
3. When the GDPR handler has approved the request, all personal data on already closed tickets created by you will be encrypted. You will receive an email notification when this has been completed. From now on (until decryption) personal data on all your tickets are encrypted when they are closed.
