Here is a list of existing CI Types, and you can add a new one, or edit and delete custom types.
New CI Type can be added by clicking the Add CI Type button. CI Type and Name are mandatory fields, and you can add a description of the CI Type.
Each CI Type has an own sets of properties, different for each CI Type. CI items will have its own set of default and custom properties, and also will inherit all the properties from its ancestors, including list of default properties for CI.
Each CI Type has default set of properties. For example, a Desktop belongs to Computer, whose parent is Hardware, which is a part of CI. List of properties for Desktop will contain properties for Desktop, Computer, Hardware and CI. This principle is the same for each CI Type and subtype.
