Permission Schemas

Permission Schema is a way to organize application access control. All access control settings can be configured in Permission Rules in Permission Schemas. Different Permission Schemas can have their own, completely different set of access rules. Simply by switching active Permission Schema, access control in the system can be reconfigured in a moment. Thus, only one schema can be active in the system.

Configurations > User & Permission Management > Permission Schemas

In the form there is a list of existing schemas in the system. Permission schema can be added, set active, edited or deleted. System default schema cannot be edited or deleted.

Each row in the list includes following actions:

Edit: Edit Name and Description of the schema.

Delete: Use this action to delete the schema.

Set Active: This action activates the Permission Schema. Earlier active schema will be automatically deactivated (only one schema can be active at the same time).

Above list is Add Schema button. Add form contains just Name (mandatory field) and optional Description. Added schema is empty, not configured. To configure schema, you must define all Permission rules for the new schema.

Click row opens Permission Schema management where you can to configure the schema.

Search, filtering, sorting, refresh, paging and column width change functions available are similar to other lists and described in General User Interface.
