Permissions - Entity Actions Tab

This tab on Permission Matrix form holds functions for selecting access permissions for various parts of Entity Actions. Entities included in current version are CI, Contracts, KB Articles, Service Items, Worklog Entries and Tickets.

When you expand an Entity, a list of function references and form tabs for that Entity is displayed. For each item in the list you can select access , or no access , for the role.

If a user has no access right to a tab, this tab will be hided (not visible). Similar for a function controlled by a button or link, if user has no access the button will be not visible to him.

Note that the selection on Agent Menu tab overrides the access permissions you choose here. If a user e g has no access to Contract all permission settings for Contract Entity functions here has no effect.

Note that you can choose state for each item individually, but some have nevertheless dependency to other items. If you e g set no access for Components tab for CI this will result the role has not access to Components Add, Edit, Delete and Export although they are selected for access, because the first selection makes the complete tab hided for the role.

For entities Tickets, Knowledge Base, Service Catalog and Billboard there are settings that affect the Self Service Portal. You can hide different parts of SSP for the user using those settings, see SSP Permissions below.
